sewing machines and vacuum cleaners with customer after care? Right here at home.

When we sell new equipment, we very frequently take in used machines in trade. We get every brand: Janome, Elna, Pfaff, Viking, Singer, Bernina, Kenmore, Newhome, Necchi and some of the minor brands based on the “dressmaker” line. We service and repair these machines and put them up for resale. We will repair the used machines we sell for a period of 30 days but charge extra for parts – these are used machines, after all.

- We are a Havel scissor dealer, makers of the best engineered scissors on earth. We also sell Gingher and Janome scissors.

- We are a Janome warranty repair center and repair all other brands and do scissor sharpening.

Need sewing lessons or support?

We have a pasion for what we do. Quilt making, embroidery, sales and service. It’s all a delight. But, over and above that, we take a particular delight in helping you learn the skills that help you enjoy sewing. We have a regular schedule of classes, usually the second Saturday of each month, but you need to sign up in advance at the store. Lessons cover a multitude of projects with an emphasis on learning skills that are readily transferable between types of sewing projects. Haven’t used your serger for a few years and feel a bit rusty? Our teacher will take you through the threading and operation of the machine, teach you what sort of projects you can do and also show you how to retain those skills and machine settings you have learned. Private lessons can be arranged for any skill, any age and any sort of project. Just ask. We want everyone to enjoy sewing.
